El Nogalito Restaurant

Small town family Mexican food. Full bar. Good service. Standard Tex-Mex menu. The white queso appetizer came with a side of peppers so you can make it is mild or spicy as you like. I had the Laredo plate with fried taco, rolled soft taco, enchilada, and chalupa. My daughter had enchiladas. Simple comfort food. No explanations required. Just good food.

No problem being seated. Clean enough. Wait staff very nice and pleasantly joked around. Had the parillada for 2. (grilled meat plate) Chicken very dry. Salsa ok. Not spicy. Overall ok.

I've been going there over thirty years even before they became El Nogalito. Here's a pic of my plate, chicken enchiladas with a white sour cream sauce, refried beans with cheese and Spanish rice to which I added their fabulously delicious salsa picante. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Service is fast, too. I've eaten at other Tex Mex restaurants in Terrell and by far they're the best!

Perfect great time once again. We eat every Wednesday and find everyone very polite and fun. Bolin is the greatest waitress of all time. Food is cooked exactly how we like it. We are a party of 6-8 and enjoying our weekly fellowship with friends

OMG best Mexican food I've had in a long time! This was my 1st visit but not my last. The employees are great & so is the service. My husband even liked it which is saying a LOT. He's super picky about where he dines out & doesn't like chain restaurants. Well...El Nogalito isn't a chain, just delicious food at a good price. I recommend it highly

Very good lunch service and food. This was my first time visiting and it was pretty dang good. I'll for sure be coming back to try dinner. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was that the waitress never offered more chips and we ran put pretty fast.

They make the best shrimp cocktail and the rest of their food is delicious.

I have to say it was one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of eating. It was an authentic Mexican taste and amazing service. For the quality of the food and the quantity of time I was waiting for it was extraordinary. I would recommend this place to everyone I know and I'll definitely be going back soon.

Has gone down hill recently and don't forget to bring a fly swatter. Yuck!

Ordered cheese enchiladas, got beef. Queso was only average yellow cheese sauce. Chips were very good when hot but not as they cooled.

This is a quant Mexican restaurant with really good food. I really enjoyed the Terrell plate and my husband had the quesadilla plate that was on special. The waitress was so kind and helpful also. We enjoyed our date night here!

The food here is always great. Service all depends on day and time. Only have had 1 bad visit.

Excellent food. Their tortilla chips have a unique and fresh flavor that’s completely addictive. When driving by I was a little unsure by the outside and even a little unsure when we got inside. Not that it’s dirty but it’s also not particularly clean but the service was extremely quick and efficient and the food was excellent. I’d definitely go again. I only give 4 stars because I think they could use a tiny bit of tidying up, but again it’s not “dirty”.

Cute little restaurant, food is hot and made like mom's cooking. Delicious and service is friendly. This was my 3rd time here and will definitely continue visiting. Prices are what is expected $$$ & worth every penny

Great place I had a shrimp quesadilla and it tasted great a bit greasy but still good. The staff was friendly. The building is clean. Service was fast we were there during lunch and our waiter kept our drinks filled and attentive to our needs. Will come back when in town.

El Nogalito's is a hidden gem. It's our family's go to for any gathering. The food is always good and the staff are extremely friendly.

Been twice in the last 10 days. Service is great. Food and selection is outstanding. Very flavorable. About $3 or $4 a plate higher than your typical Tex Mex place but worth it

Loved this restaurant!! Food was so good and the staff was amazingly friendly. It’s a small restaurant and it has the unfussy vibe of a place that just focuses on good food and a family feel. Will be back!!
